Take care of your future; it lies in your hands

Don’t let the peach rot. Eat it. Do not waste it. Take action.
What if substance abuse is legalized and psychiatrists are deputed in every district, delegated to the treatment of adolescents who take drugs under the supervision of experts?
Be careful—please do not follow this!!
This was proven as a dangerous-to-health experiment already undertaken in Oregon County in the USA.
If drugs were legalized, there would be more experimenters trying multiple agents to get high.
The addiction of most drugs of abuse is so strong that psychiatrists would not be able to control this problem ever, because every other month of follow-up, they will deal with a consumption of higher doses. Poor people will smack very frequently and resort to crimes with lost inhibitions.
There is nothing like controlled or willpower-driven substance abuse. Most of these drugs tax willpower. Unless the abuser has spent a few years taking them and lost half of their life wasted in contemplations only with no action for a better future yet, leading to some familial or financial loss, or being treated by intensive interventions of a social worker, the person can become an autonomic experiment only, alive vegetatively, eating, sleeping, and drugging. Not even eating.
Awakening happens in rare cases, among those who are intelligent or have a strong foundation due to their education and familial bonds. Such sincere people awaken. Frequent admonitions within their minds trigger this awakening. One has to be very harsh with their mind; it wants just one more snuff. One does not come out of addictions just by sweet affirmations.
I am a very soft person, and harshness of character is quite unknown to my personality. The all-goody-goody girl became a very prudential person through experience as far as her career is concerned. This was because when I started there was a lack. The lacuna was probably a language difference along with a nervous breakdown and inexperience in seeking help from the right person. People around hardly took notice of me and made fun of me. I couldn’t manage but did not react to it. Just opened my books and lost myself into the hard work required of me.
Let me be unnoticed; it doesn’t matter anymore. It is important to complete certain tasks and fulfill my heart’s desire to lead a comfortable life, which seems possible to a certain extent now.
Professionalism has taught me a way of life and not the other way round. This is amusing because not many people would say this.
I got to discover the methods to think right, let go of the clutter, become selfish but be someone who helps in need, and mostly, frequent admonitions within my mind to not think like that.
Since childhood I was a deep problem solver, imaginer, reader, and chronic thinker, and I practiced praying hard.
With such attributes, I used to panic frequently or become anxious with erythematous cheeks when any teacher ever raised her voice at me. This brought out a very good girl out of me who never missed her homework for the fear of blushing in class if teachers would scold.
I have been hugely misunderstood as an adult. Now even that is OK because I give a damn to the child inside me who wants to expose all my insecurities.
But this attitude did not develop that easily. I had to curb my thoughts and emotions to such an extent that now I have very few desires, and I live well, earn well and stay happy with control that is natural and not forced. This control is a part of my life since childhood, but my mind was vivid. This mind is now relaxing because of admonitions that I instigate within me.
I still stop myself from overthinking. I don’t know if others also do so easily. Once at my school assembly, I asked another girl with dark eyes if she thinks too much before retreating to classes about stuff. She said no, not much only this or that. People do not feel the need because they do not care about the quality of their thoughts and have no feelings of guilt if they don’t think right.
For me, I take it as criminal to get bad words inside my head. One can say that I am a foolish clean freak. Or maybe, an intelligent person who knows how to live without being a burden despite some assholes considering me as a burden or responsibility. I mustn’t think of burdensome thoughts to become unburdensome to myself.
Gradually and over the years, I have learned to stay light and comfortable because I do feel the need to respect myself foremost and plan a better future that my life will let me. Might be that I am not good in relationships, but I am good at what I make for a living. This much is enough, and there are people and nature to interact with and smile at with positivity.
Really, self-admonitions have worked wonders. If you want to elevate yourself spiritually, try hard to clear up your thoughts. Stop thinking bad about others, or assume their discomfort if you become verbal with what you think. And enjoy living with such a plight. You would do wonders for yourself this way. It is a stoic way to live. And this is my conclusion about how Marcus Aurelius lived. He was familiar with pain and temptation and gave himself time to think. To think right.
