This site brings about gracefulness and knowledge-based improvement in different aspects of our thoughts and actions to live a meaningful life. Sincerity solves many problems and seldom brings trouble to us. It benefits us by enabling us to fight the good battle, as in the words of Marcus Aurelius—"Disgraceful is the soul to give up when the body is still going strong."

How to use AI wisely and help form memory:

During the initial years of AI, scientists warned about the increase in attention deficit disorders among adults and children.

It has already caused social conflicts, whence a majority of students prefer their tabs and not group learning.

A wise individual isolates themselves by giving at least 4–5 hours of their day to the IoT. Children prefer indoor preoccupations in the form of computer games and puzzles instead of drawing and painting on a canvas.

AI has instigated another social and epidemiological transition that the world is facing right now. There are both proponents and antagonists to AI learning.

For example, I have a long history of learning from the internet, including resources like eMedicine and the Merck Manual. I used to listen to my teachers’ lectures, revise the missing parts by finding research uploaded online or ebooks, then get back to the old books provided by our college library. This enhanced my memory and reading skills considerably.

To this date, my practice has helped me to learn well and write well.

Ten thousand years ago, people first wrote letters in the form of picture scripts. When ancient humans went hunting for food, they decided to engrave clues for other tribe members.

After a medium of writing like papyrus was discovered, humans relied less on memory and more on the storage of text. Probably they were reading the environment and noting the information from it.

Later, emotions were ready to reach picture forms, evolving gradually to words in ancient civilizations. These emotions evolved into what we now refer to as emoticons.

Until the 1990s, we remembered the phone numbers from the telephone directory, attempting to avoid opening the yellow book, as it was a very cumbersome task.

As computers and mobile phones became commonplace, most of us stopped trying to memorize contact numbers or addresses. Currently we navigate through Google Maps while commuting to the mall. We also do not remember the Blacow Road address of our aunt anymore to send her a Christmas card every year by post instead of email, telling her that you still miss her and love her.

Now computers are our memory, and what remains inside our brain is like

“It’s written on this site, or I saved it in my notes on Notion, or it’s in this journal I read on Academia.edu.”

No one relies on books as a commonplace for complete information about a subject.

Medicine is a traditional science needing exhaustive learning. Harrison’s is written with the aim of providing all possible research ever done on the subject, incorporating all guidelines.

No one reads it though; we go to Gemini and type our question, take the answer, and search another AI platform, say Chat GPT or Grok, to convince ourselves if the fact is streamlined. We cannot know if there is another version to it. Mostly it is enough, and the majority of teachers also have used AI to clear their doubts.

You have to have a robust background to quote books which AI enables us to summarize in a few seconds.

Use of AI is inevitable, and using it wisely is the responsibility of present masterminds.

What I propose is nothing new; it is similar to how I studied in the first decade of this century.

First, learn from an expert through their classes. Then, reflect on the lecture, use AI/internet information to clarify concepts, read an old book on the subject, and return to AI for clarification on any new information or changes. Finally, create mind maps by sketching flowcharts on paper; this is the approach of the new age mind.

AI wouldn’t cause attention deficit this way but would create knowledge in less time. This would be the new adaptation of human brain very soon.

The next step is to repeat the knowledge using flashcards or transcribing notes in your folder for the subject or writing on paper, preserving it where you have written your lecture notes.

This way you can give more time to learn practical skills and consolidate your cognitive domain as well for in-depth learning.

AI cannot be equated to a mental disorder developing technology if you use it wisely and adopt it to improve your learning.

I just have to put up a Pilates app and exercise with AI instructions that are better than a live coach. I have to google research and become clearer on an old concept and consolidate the time trends based on it.

For example, zinc helps to treat liver diseases, which was something I remembered from one of my lectures, and I was able to consolidate it with the mechanism involved that was described in a 2024 research article, plus a teacher was able to explain it better due to their expertise.

We are better humans due to AI, but we should not depend upon it. Continue to memorize information with its help, challenge your mental muscle, and keep working on it with information that is available at the tip of your fingers or by accepting your verbal commands.

Try learning this way and see the improvement in your memory and cognition. The key point is to reflect and question, then reflect and answer by scribbling what you learn in the form of mind maps.

Do not be left behind and learn a lot.
